Building S&M Today

I woke up at 6:30 this morning as I was tired and hurting from all the extra walking so I decided to rest up a bit more! I did my weigh-in and I am now up to 107.0 kgs today but I am feeling much slimmer so I am hoping that I am losing fat and building muscle which is the plan! I am going to do my best to keep to the 15000 steps a day although it is taking a fair bit of work at the moment!

I started work after my weigh-in and I took a quick 5 minute brake to get the front wheel off of the S&M and put the tyre and tube on the new Profile Mini wheel that I got back from my friend on Monday. It looks a lot better than the Haro wheel did so I’m happy with that 🙂

Later on today I need to swap out the pedals on the DJ bike as I slipped a pedal hopping up a curb on the way to work yesterday and gave myself a massive shinner so I am not super happy with the pedals for that! To be honest I have never been super happy with those pedals as they are the DMR Versa pedals which have a clipless side and a flats side but to be honest for me they didn’t really work as either one! Great idea but I think they are more geared to mtb so don’t really work for BMX.

I have a brand new set of Spank pedals that came with my full sus when I got it so I will stick them on. They are Orange which is not really my colour but they are good pedals so will do! While riding the jump bike yesterday I noticed that the disk brake is rubbing a lot so I need to look at that at lunch time today too as I am lending it to my friend tonight for him to play at gates at Andover.

I will get the S&M fully built up and then I will sort the Jump bike.

This morning I bought a cheap set of Air Bike 175mm cranks off of eBay for £35 and I am getting a 44t Chain ring off of a friend so I will then be able to get the Dialled up and running again as I took the DXR cranks and 44t Chain Ring off of it to finish the Standard OS20 build. Once it is fully built up I’m not sure what I will do with it to be honest. I will most likely sell it to get some cash back as I have the S&M .38 Special and the OS20 if I want to ride a smaller bike and I didn’t enjoy riding the Dialled to work as its much harder to ride a 20″ longer distances than a Cruiser so I will keep a Cruiser for riding about on!

I am thinking that I will build up the Standard as my ride to work bike and then sell the StayStrong Speed and Style, the Cult, DK and GT so get some cash back and also clear a load of space. I am negotiating with my Son at the moment to see if he can ride either the Curtis or the OS20 when we go for our weekend track visits as I can then sell his Supercross as well and get a bunch more cash back too!

I have just fitted the newly built Profile mini rear wheel and again it looks a lot better than the Haro wheel did! I would have liked a chrome hub to match the front but I had a red one in the parts box so that will have to do 🙂

I was going to swap the brake out for a DXR set but I think I will leave the xtr caliper and lever on the bike as it came. At some point I will get a black profile sprocket to match all the other parts on the bike but for now the bike will do 🙂

The pedals are no on the Jump bike too:

After my meetings this morning I did an hour or so on the treadmill while working and I am currently on 8700 steps for the day so I am chilling for a bit and then I will get on to the treadmill again and try and get to 15000 steps before I finish for the day.
