Black Market Contraband 24″ Build

So as my back is borked and I can’t ride today I have decided that I will build up the Black Market Contraband 24″ bike up today. I put the stickers on and test fitted the back wheel in the other day to get an idea how it will look and I have to say that it looks pretty good:

I am now drilling holes in my desk to secure my vice too so that I can try and swap out the 16t sprocket for the 11t one that arrived last week then I can get the correct gearing sorted.

Before I do that I will install the bottom bracket, headset, forks, bars and stem as they are easier jobs 🙂

Headset and forks are now on the bike 🙂 :

Bars, Stem and Spacers on 🙂

I have fitted the front wheel but unfortunately I don’t have any 20mm adaptors for the Halo WideBoy front hub so I have ordered some from ebay they will be here at the end of the week hopefully in time to ride the bike at the weekend!

The bottom bracket went in really smoothly:

I took the cranks off of my Sunday Wave C 24″ as its not being used at the moment and fitted them to the Contraband 24″ and the bike is looking good:

I have now taken the brake off of the 26″ Jump Bike and fitted it to the black Market:

I have not fitted the my S&M Hoader seat that I bought in Seattle when I lived there for a couple months:

I was unable to get the sprocket off of my current driver so I will have to buy a new driver when I get paid then I can use the new 11t sprocket and the new driver. I will hang the Black Market on the wall until all the parts arrive as I can’t ride it. I have also found out that the Tubolito in the front wheel has gone flat so it needs replacing again 🙁
