So this weekend and Monday I have been feeling off and been in bed for most of the time so today I plan to actually do some exercise and try and get my 15000 steps in as well if I can! I managed to lose 0.4 kgs yesterday even though I only rode to the office and back and walked 6565 steps for the day!
I have been thinking about my training and I am going to try and walk and do one other training a day to try and make it easier to make my goals. I think aiming to train consistently will be a better option than trying to do loads of exercise and burning out all the time. With the walking I am going to get up an walk first thing EVERY Morning again so I get in the habit of waking up, doing my weigh-in and then getting dressed and going for a walk! I am also going to fit in my 10 minutes backward treadmill in sometime during the day but that is easy to fit is so should be good!
For now I am going to do the following:
Monday – Gym
Tuesday – Sprints and Track Session (Pump track for the next 2 weeks while track is closed!)
Wednesday – Gym (AM) and Gates Andover (PM)
Thursday – Sprints
Friday – Road Ride or Track Session (Pump track for the next 2 weeks while track is closed!)
Saturday – Pump Track AM then Gates PM
Sunday – Free Ride
I will double up Tuesday and Wednesday but other than that I will train once a day.
I will take this week just getting my steps in and then start the gym and sprints next week from Monday morning.
I have really got out of the habit of getting up and walking so starting tomorrow I will start doing that again at 5 am.
Yesterday I got the S&M .38 Special brake cable cut and fitted so it is now ready to ride and I will take it to a pump track this afternoon to test it out and see how it goes. The new bars for the Black Market have been posted so that will be 100% built up by the weekend too so I will have bikes coming out of my ears again 🙂
I also picked up the StayStrong from the container so I have my Sprints and riding about bike back too so Thursday I will try and get a pre-work sprints session in near work and see how long it takes etc. The way my training is setup I will be done with the gym and sprints sessions by Thursday so I have Friday, Saturday and Sunday to ride and have more fun so the first half of the week is working and the second half is playing so should be easier! As I am in the office Mondays I plan to ride the StayStong to the office then work out ride home shower and change and then ride back to the office so that it is not such a mission as its a nightmare to take work clothes and shower stuff to the gym in the morning and showering at the gym is pretty shitty too! It also means that I will get a bunch more exercise in on the long seat post to spin out the rust from the weekends riding 🙂 And also burn a bit more chub off!
So at 14:30 I got a message from DPD saying that the bars had been delivered and left on the porch which I don’t have! When I checked the driver had left the bars on my neighbour’s porch 2 doors down so he hadn’t even walked down the alleyway to get to my house! So I went and picked up the bars and then got to work fitting them onto the Black Market and I am really happy with the way they look and feel! I will need to dial in the bar angle when I ride the bike for the first time later in the week but other than that the bike is sorted!
I was feeling really rough in the afternoon so I stayed in bed all day watching TV and wasted another 1/2 day off 🙁
