Beast Training day 29 – 22/12/2023

This morning I woke up at 2am and couldn’t get back to sleep until about 4am so I slept until about 8:30 then got up and did my weigh in and I was 106.9 kgs this morning so the chicken nuggets and Chips I had at 9pm didn’t help a lot to lose weight! Also the 2 cans of Cherry Coca Cols will not have helped either!

After my weigh in I chilled on my phone until 10 am then did some work that I had to do until 12 ish. I then got ready and went to the track to meet a friend. We had a chilled session until Jut after 3pm! We even did 10 x 15m alternate leg box sprints to test out the new tarmac road up to the track 🙂 I don’t really like doing sprints on flat pedals but I got used to not pulling on my back foot by the end of it so I will persevere with the flats for now! I am still going to keep clips on my Curtis and only use it for gates over the winter to limit the damage from the rain and mud! Also I think you should practice gates how you will race them so clipless is better!

I have just checked my step count and its only 3600 at the moment so I will have to go out for a walk later or do a really long treadmill walk! I’m not sure yet!  I am going to get some food and then decided as I am starving now!

This evening I will also tidy my flat so that I can get my gym area setup fully so that I can get started on weights next Tuesday 🙂

So I had more work to do so I have had to walk on the treadmill today so decision made. My legs are surprisingly heavy after sprints today so a slow walk on the treadmill should help 🙂

By the time I had finished my work I was on 12813 steps so over my 12500 goal again! I am now doing some chores around the house so I should hopefully get over 13000 steps for the day!

Looking at my step totals for the time that I have been doing this challenge I have now done 10 days walking over 10000 steps a day which is a record for me! Over the last 10 days I have walked 127684 and averaged 12768.4 steps a day!

12768.4 steps a day is roughly 6 miles a day which is pretty good going 🙂 It is also something that I can easily keep doing once I start my BMX and weight training as well so as I said before I plan to try and do 12500 steps a day for the whole of 2024 to see how I can change my life and body composition for the better in that year! 

Everything I look at online says that consostently walking 10000+ steps a day and working out 3 times a week is the best way to lower your body fat and improve your body composition so I plan to do just that and also add BMX Race Training into the mix as well for good measure! Hopefully building muscle and improving my body composition will also help to prevent any more injuries this year but we will see!
