Beast Training day 25 – 19/12/2023

This morning I went back to sleep when my alarm went off so I woke up at 6:30 did my weigh in (back down to 106.7kgs today) and then started work.

At lunch time I went for a walk along the 2 tunnels and got to just over 6000 steps by the time I got home so halfway to my goal! I then went back to work and I am now on call and walking on the treadmill as I need to get the other 6500 steps done sooner rather than later! I also did some food shopping on the walk as well.

I have decided that until the end of the year I am just walking then next year I will start getting lunchtime BMX or roadbike rides in to up the training intensity and start weight training as well to really start the beast training!

I am going to fall well short of my weight goal by the end of the year but I think it is more important to get into the habit of doing everything and being consistent so by the end of the year it will be ingrained in my behaviour to get the steps in so I can start building up the weight training and bike training after that. I am on holiday from 2nd-9th Jan so I can consentrate on adding BMX and weights to my daily routine so when I start back to work on the 10th I am used to training.

I am happy with the way I am feeling from walking 12500 steps a day so I want to keep doing that and then ad BMX and weight training to get BMX fit and also drop as much weight as possible by the end of March when the BMX season will be starting again.

So as I am on call tonight I get a bonus afternoon off so I will go up the track and get a ride in on the track before going home and getting ready to be on call again.
