Beast training Day 14 – 07/12/2023

So this morning I haven’t been able to walk again due to having to work so I will go out for a walk at lunch time to get more steps in during the day as yesterday was a nightmare trying to get my steps in before bed and I actually missed it by 300 steps 🙁 (I think this was a FitBit issue but still!)

I did a weigh in and found that I am back up to 107.9kgs today which I guess will be partly due to eating a lot more food and partly due to drinking loads more water than I have been recently! I will keep an eye on the weight but I would hope going for a ride on top of walking should get my weight back down!

At lunch time I will go for a proper walk to get at least 7000 steps so that I can just do the short loop tonight and get well over 10000 steps! I will then get on the bike and go for a ride! I think I will do the Bath to Bristol cycle path to the Bitten Railway and back but if I feel good I may carry on to Bristol I will see how I feel! I am thinking that I should go to Bristol and back as I haven’t ridden for ages but I will see how I feel on the ride!

From tomorrow onwards I need to focus on getting up and walking in the morning as I am walking fasted then so it burns more fat where as last night I was walking on a full stomach which isn’t as pleasant and I don’t think that it is as good for fat burning.

I have just been looking on the FitBit site and found that the weight tracking is really good and has interactive charts that you can use:

As you can see I started the year at just under 107.9kgs and my weight fluctuated a lot until I got it down to 105.1kgs on 21/06/23 then it fluctuated again but steadily rising until now where I am at exactly the same weight as I was at the start of the year 🙁 On a positive note I haven’t gained any weight this year I suppose AND I have 4 weeks to try and drop some serious weight before the end of the year! Apparently you can safely lost about 4kgs in 4 weeks so with a bit of luck I can get down to around 103kgs by the end of the year  🤞🏻

I am thinking that on starting next week I will start going into the office to work in the mornings and ride the bike into the office then on the way home I can ride the Bath to Bristol Cycle path as I am basically riding along the river anyway so instead of going over the bridge to Lidl and then walking home I can go straight and at least ride to bitten and back home and work at home in the afternoon! I can get an hours walk in before work as well so I can get steps in, ride to work, walk around the office all morning and then ride to bitten and back on the way home then in the evening I can walk again to get more steps in and make myself more tired 🙂 The evening walk also helps to burn off any excess calories from the day before bedtime too! I think if I do that for the next 4 weeks I should be able to burn off a fair bit of fat before the end of the year which should equate to a fair bit of weight loss. It will be hard to start with tot get the rides in as I have jsut started intermittent fasting until 2pm so my body is still adjusting to that so exercising at the end of the fast may hurt a bit for a while but it should be really effective at shifting body fat as I will have exhausted my energy reserves by then so I will have to use fat as my main source of energy 🙂

So this afternoon I really didn’t feel like walking outside so I got on the treadmill at 2:34 pm and walked for 47 minutes and then again at 8:15 for another 22 minutes so that I got all of my steps in. I am currently at 10867 steps for the day and didn’t leave the house all day 🙂 I walked at 3mph both times so I got the steps in faster than last time. I have also found that as I walk on the treadmill and use the desk more the easier it is becoming so i can walk faster and work now.

Diet wise I was bad today and bought a breakfast bagle at 1pm to break my fast and then McDonalds for tea so all in all a fat day 🙁

Tomorrow I am walking into the office early and I will hopefully be back by about 7:30 to start my morning tasks so I should be on about 8000 steps before 7:30 in the morning. I will also walk on the treadmill a couple of times during the day and go for a walk outside about 8pm as well as my son will be here and its good for him to get off the computer a bit as well.
