Beast Training Day 1 + Initial Weigh-in – 24/11/2023

weigh-in

I woke up at 4:45 without an alarm again this morning so I got up and got showered early. I then did my weigh in and I am 107.9kgs at the moment so a bit lighter than I though to thats a good start to the Beast month I guess 🙂 This mans that I have just under 28 kgs to lose to reach my goal weight of 80Kgs!

I then got dressed and went out for my morning walk. I took the east route as I’m still not feeing 100% but I am feeling a lot better than I was this time yesterday so that a plus!

IMG 4ECFB62402C7 1Once I got walking I felt a lot better so I did a slightly longer route to normal but it still only took me 59m 50s so just under the 60 minute goal but close enough! In that time I walked 3.54 miles or 7202 steps so well on the way to 10000 steps already.

I am planning to ride to the track and back at lunch time as my friend is up there doing some coaching so I will pop up and say hello 🙂 I don’t to over do it but I do want to get the Beast training done so I will get all the training parts done today although they may be a lower intensity to normal!

I plan to only do bodyweight exercises tonight as I am feeling really weak so I don’t think that there is any point doing any real weight training in this state. I am hoping that by Monday I will be feeling better so can start weight training properly. I am going to organise my bedroom again so that I can set up my gym area again ready to start training on Monday without fail. I am contemplating clearing out my garage and moving the gym out into there then I can have a more relaxing bedroom as at the moment it is kind of a mess and really cluttered so is not a great place to relax in! I would also like to create a reading area at the end where the gym is at the moment so moving the gym into the garage would help a lot.

I also plan to go to the tip this weekend to get rid of a bunch of crap from the garage to make room for the gym and to still have room to start working on my motorbike to get it back in a state to get an MOT and either start riding it or sell it and get some cash back.

I started to feel iller and iller as the morning went on so I have decided that I will leave the cycling until tomorrow morning now and have a nap at lunch time and start riding the bike tomorrow after my walk!

I was feeling better in my break from work and on call so I went out for another walk to get my 10000 steps in for the day. I did my old make up to 10000 steps loop and got to 10850 steps for the day.

IMG B40B4F1A7CBE 1The loop is basically 1.38 miles and 2744 steps and took 23m 26 seconds to get home again. It was really cold and my lungs still aren’t great from whatever illness I have so I did the bare minimum and went home.

I will try and ramp up the exercise tomorrow so that I walk 2x in the day and also ride the bike as well then I will just carry on until the 30 days is up!

I need to lose as much weight as possible as quickly as possible so that I don’t have to buy as new rear shock for the DH bike as looking online I should have a 650 x 3.0 spring on it and I currently have a 450 x 3.0 s0 it is well undersized for my bulk at the moment! I think if I drop the first 15kgs I should be around the top end of the spring weight so I will not need to replace the shock! Lets see how the weight drops off after the first week and see how realistic the 15kgs in a month will be for me!

Tomorrow I am going to try the uphill route from my house instead of the flat route I have took this morning! I have never done the uphill route before but its basically up hill for around 2 miles almost straight away after I leave my house so it will most definitely burn way more calories than my usual flat route! When I get to the top of the hills there is a flat bit then I can head back down hill to the house again. Depending how long the walk takes I can add or take away from the route on Sunday as needed. I need to find a 1hr route so that I can get back in time for work again at 6:30.
