Back to BMX Training day 35 – 04/02/2024

So I woke up when I woke up this morning which was 6:30 am, I did my weigh in and I am back down to 106.3kgs so the weight is moving in the right direction at least 🙂 I then went back to bed and went back to sleep until about 9:30 then got up and got ready and drove back to my parents house.

share 195839198306950495So the ride home was much easier and faster than the ride there yesterday (1:28:30 compared to 2:08:00 yesterday!) and we did a lot less riding too as we didn’t get lost getting around the closed tunnel on the two tunnels today 🙂

We did 15.36 miles in 1:28:30 and only climbed 618ft today compared to over 1200 ft yesterday so that explains why it felt som much easier today! That and the fact that we had eaten a lot today and yesterday we were riding on empty stomachs 🙂

Weirdly our average speeds were the same both days so go figure 🙂 But yesterday we spent at least 30 minutes trying to get onto the two tunnels that we didn’t today 🙂

My wrist is getting really painful so I have bought a wrist guard from Amazon that arrived today so I will wear that to stop me using my wrist for a while and I will wait for the Shock Doctor 824 wrist guard from ebay that is basically the same as the Troy Lee Designs 5205 wrist support that I can’t find but have used before on the bike. Once the 824 arrives I will start riding the bike again until then I have put sprints and track riding on hold! I will replace it with riding the mtb again as I should be fine on the mtb with the Amazon wrist support for now.

I am also going to go back to riding the Jump Bike on the track instead of the Curtis for now so I can ride and not hurt my wrist as much! I will soften up the front shock a bit too to make sure it helps protect my wrist until it is better! I can’t ride the full track for at least 3 weeks still so I can practice jumping on the jump bike until then and hopefully my wrist will be better by then and I can go back on the Curtis once the full track is open!

I am currently walking on the treadmill as I still have 2000 steps to go to get to 10000 steps then I will call it a day for the day and go to bed. I have found my sling so I am going to use it tomorrow so I can’t do too much with my left arm so my wrist will not get hurt further for now.

I am on a half day Tuesday so I will got to the hospital and try and get an xray on the wrist/ hand to see what is wrong with it!

By the end of the day I was on 10117 steps.
