So this morning when my alarm went off I was feeling super sore and tired so I went back to sleep for an hour or so then got up and did my weigh-in. I was shocked to find that my weight was down to 107.1kgs this morning so I have dropped 0.5kgs from yesterday when I was 107.6 kgs. Not bad considering all I did was my usual 15000 steps (about 9000 of them were walking outside) 6 x 60m sprints with 1st and half of the 2nd straight straight pump laps and a few straights on the track. I did get really really cold so I guess that that helped to burn off some of the calories as well 🙂
My hip and back are feeling much better this morning so I guess they were hurting due to the cold as well! They definitely felt better after I got the last 5000 steps on the treadmill last night so I was hoping that it wasn’t anything serious and it doesn’t seem to be! I really need to make sure that my back is kept covered when training in the cold from now on!
Other than feeling a bit achy and tired I am feeling really good after the sprints yesterday and like I said yesterday it was my first 60m sprint session where I felt strong for the whole 60m on every sprint! In fact the last couple where I am usually hanging on from the 40m mark I was actually feeling like I was getting faster from the 40m-60m which is a really good sign!
I am still planning to go on a slow flat bike ride on the mtb today at lunch time to start getting some more fat burning in and try and spin out the tiredness from my legs before tomorrow’s lunchtime sprint session at the track. I am planning to do some 2nd straights after sprints as I was thinking about it and I haven’t ridden the 2nd straight at full speed in a couple of years at least so it may be a good idea to get a race speed line on it before racing at the weekend! I am pretty confident on my race lines on the 1st and 3rd straights and my 4th straight is OK as well but this week I will work on 2nd straights and maybe add 3rd and 4th straights to it as well later in the week (I have Friday off so maybe today 2nd straights, Thursday 2nd and 3rd straights and Friday 2nd, 3rd and 4th straights).
So as always my plans of taking lunch have changed as one of our Infra Servers has died so I will have to go into the office and sort that out instead of going for a bike ride 🙁 Still it will give me a chance to get a bunch of my steps in that I didn’t get in yesterday 🙂
By the time I got back from the office I was on 7279 streps so I have a lot of walking to do tonight on the treadmill as the work I was doing this afternoon was too difficult to do while walking unfortunately 🙁
