Woke up at 4:30 without an alarm and got out of bed at 5am and did my weigh-in and was surprised that I have put 0.2kgs on so I’m now 107.9kgs and the heaviest I have been this year 🙁 I did do sprints yesterday and walked 15000 or more steps so I guess a lot of the extra weight will have been muscle! My arms legs and face are getting way thinner and more defined so all the training is most definitely working and my shoulders and chest are starting to look less fat boy and more fit and toned 🙂 I guess that my gut will be the last thing to go🤦♂️
I think that the fact that I have done 133546 steps this year already (12141 steps a day average) and I have already done 4 sprints sessions as well and I have gained weight means that I really need to get back to intermittent fasting and also start looking at what I am eating to figure out why I’m not losing weight!
I am just looking for a food and drink tracking app then I will track what I eat for a couple weeks then I can get an idea of things that I can change! I know for a start I need to cut out bread and Weetabix for breakfast and replace them with omlettes and also stop eating chips all the time!
I have a bunch of packets of microwave rice to eat up so I will try eat rice, egg and veggie stir fry for the next couple weeks and see how that helps with the weight loss!
Next week I really need to focus on doing my sprints early in the morning before work so that I can start riding the track at lunch times to start getting full laps in to burn more calories and also try and be able to do a full speed lap by next weekend otherwise the Deep South round is going to be no fun at all 🙂
I am feeling a lot stronger and fitter while doing sprints this week so hopefully that will translate to the track as well.
I am doing my 15m sprints first thing tomorrow morning then I will try and at least get some pedal to the first jump pump laps in to start getting used to doing full laps. After that I will go home and get changed then I am going over to my parents house as its my Dad’s birthday so I will take my DH bike to their house and swap it out for my Jump Bike then I can use the jump bike as my pump track bike for now until I get my Standard Cruiser back then I will leave that in the container as my training bike and use the Chase OS20 and my Jump bike as my pump track bikes.
Sunday morning early I want to go to Temple Cloud pump track to see how long it takes to get there etc and have a play. I will take the Jump bike for now as its probably my bike most suitable for the pump track at the moment! The suspension also means that I can start jumping a bit and not jack my shoulder up casing landing which is always nice 🙂
I am thinking that next week I will do one day at the track and one day at the pump track all week so Monday track, Tuesday Pump Track, Wednesday Track (And gates at Bristol in the evening) Thursday Pump Track, Friday Track, Saturday gates at the track and Race Sunday. I’m not sure if I will double bike or not but it might be a good excuse to not do very well 🙂 I only have one set of number plates and HT Clipless pedals at the moment so I will most likely just race Cruiser! I’m also not very fit so its probably better to not over do it either!
Saying that I am definitely getting fitter as my body felt great this morning even after doing 10 x 30m sprints alternating front foot with 203 minutes rest in between so all the hard work is sort of paying off even though I’m not losing weight! I also can’t say the same after my Tuesday sprint session where I did 6 x 60m sprints and was hanging on Wednesday and really aching! After 3 months of this though I should be in much better shape and hopefully in some kind of race shape to be able to at least not come last at Nationals this year 🙂
