I woke up late today as my neighbour set an alarm for 2am which woke me up then I just got baclk to sleep and it went off again 🙁 Apart from that I slept really well. I then worked until 11am and took an early lunch and slept until 13:30 and then got up and rode the ebike into the office worked for a couple of hours then had to rush home to be home ready for my food shop to arrive which it did 10 minutes into my delivery window! I then worked for another hour or so and then got ready and rode up to the track for another coaching session. Riding the ebike was just enough of a warm up to get me ready to ride unlike yesterday when I was hanging by the time I got there! My legs were still hurting from last nights walking and training session but after about 15 minutes into the training they were all good!
Today was another fun training session! We have now established that I really need to work on my jumping and cornering at speed as they are both atrocious at the moment! My acceleration on the track and carry speed are really good but my jumping is non existent and I have to brake before I go into a berm for some reason which is really annoying! I also need to get back on the sprints as my gates were good into about the 5th pedal or so when I started to go backwards! On a positive note my 1st to 5th pedal was pretty good tonight where they haven’t been for a while!
I then rode the ebike home after packing the gate away which was a nice cool down compared to last nights walk where I was hanging and struggled to get home without passing out! My legs are also currently feeling much fresher than this time last night so the ebike is deffo the way forward to get to and from the track 🙂
The broken spokes are starting to move and get stuck in the wheel when I slow down now so I will have to take them out and get the bike to a shop to get the wheel fixed and I also think that the cranks are starting to bend and today I got a cpu issue warning on the way home which I fixed by powering off the display and powering it back on so hopefully it was just the heat riding home that caused the issue.
On Thursday after I know how much my MOT will be I will book it in for a service and get the spokes replaced then the bike will be 100% and ready to use for the winter.
I any also see if they will give me anything for the bike as a trade in for a higher spec bike for when I get the money for the 2 bikes that I have sold that I am waiting for money for as my bike is a little slow on the hills compared to a better bike.
We will see.
