Amazing Morning at Bath BMX track!

Woke up late today and went to the track for about 9:30 am and had a bit of a ride with some of the National riders before gates at 11:30. I rode my 20″ as the 24″ brake will arrive later today.

I have to say that I really enjoyed riding the 20″ today and actually did some stuff that I hadn’t done before like double manualled the second jump on the first straight which I would have never thought possible if I hadn’t have done it!

Unfortunately my back and elbow were playing up a fair bit but I was able to get a good amount of riding in and it was really fun.

When the  brake arrives I will get it fitted ready to test the Cruiser out tomorrow lunchtime. I need to start getting full speed laps in as I tried one today and I was hanging after the second straight so I will really struggle at Bristol on Wednesday night as the track is much longer!

I also need to focus on attacking jumps as I am not carrying speed over the jumps as much as I need to be doing so I will start doing pump laps on Tuesdays and Thursdays to rectify this as it makes doing full laps much easier and also much faster!

I also know that I will need to get in much better shape by the start of next season to be more competitive for National Racing next year and also if I qualify for the worlds I will have to get much faster again!

Not so amazing was that the brake and cable that I ordered from Wiggle did not arrive so this is the first time that they have let me down and means that I will most likely not be able to train on the Dialled MX24R and will have to train on the Dialled MX20R instead today which is not a big deal as I am really loving riding the 20″ at the moment anyway.
