I have been reassessing my goals for this year and as my Achilles is still not fully healed I have changed things up a bit.
I have decided that for January at least I will do 10000 steps a day as there is loads of proof that this is the most effective way of burning fat.
I have bought a manual machine from sender to work on my manual goal that will not be made until after the 6th of Jan so it will be a while until it is ready.
I have also bought a 20″ Yess type X so that I can have a 20″ and a 24″.
Made my 10000 steps goal today and had a bonus 300 steps from doing a water change on my axolotls.

Had a busy day cleaning my flat today. Also started drinking Huel instead of eating and stopped drinking coke.
Also managed to get my 10000 steps in today so all in all a good day.
Unfortunately also managed to twist my right ankle while walking so that may slow me down a bit in the 10000 steps a day. We will have to see.
So basically I have an issue with my left Achilles and a sprained right ankle 🤦♂️🤷♂️

Already done my 10000 steps for the day and it’s only 13:00. Had to go to the shop first thing to buy some tape to box up a frame and then take the frame to the post office. I then walked home and then had to meet my ex wife’s cousin as he wanted to see my flat before he went home. I then walked him back to my ex wife’s flat and then came home and I have done 10742 steps already and I still have to walk to work tonight 😁💪
By the end of the day I had done just over 15000 steps so not too bad at all today.

Had about 3 hours sleep today as I kept waking up due to the sun and dead legs! got up at 1pm and did a bunch of stuff around the house so that I had almost 5000 steps on the fit bit before I even left for work at 18:30pm. By the time I got to work I had 9100 steps on the fitbit and 6500 on the phone as I didn’t have my phone on me all the time as it was charging.
I have somehow managed to crack the screen on the fit bit while I was sleeping which isn’t the best but it still works so not the end of the world. I am really liking the fitbit for step counting as it is always on you so you don’t miss any steps as was shown today with the 3000 steps difference from the phone and the fitbit.
I am going to remove the app from my phone and continue using the fitbit to count my steps from now on as it is more accurate and more convenient.
It is now 23:00 and I have 9528 steps so I have a bit more to do before midnight to keep my goals going. A few laps of the corridor will get the steps over the 10000 for the day easily 🙂

I know that it is early in the year but even after 3 days I am feeling much better and walking is getting much easier than it was at the start of the week. I have also noticed that I am using my inhaler much less that I have been which can only be a positive thing.
On Monday I plan to go to the gym and start doing weights Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s to start doing this regularly too. I am hoping that adding the gym will increase the weight loss and also help to cut down injuries in the long run. My main goal this year is to be consistent throughout the year with both the steps and the gym in order to build positive habits going forwards.
Got the 10000 steps in 5 minutes before midnight so now done it fro 4 days straight 🙂
I did a total of 10236 steps for the day which is pretty good as I was working all night so pretty tired.

My record so far is 21063 steps in a day on 08/01/20 which was actually higher than that as I had to take the fitbit off for an hour or so while I charged it. In the time I didn’t have the fitbit on I did loads of walking as I was building my shed. I must have done at least another 3000 steps in this time but I am happy with the 21063 anyway 🙂
To be honest the 21000 was not too difficult to do. All I did was walk into town in the morning then in the evening I walked to my Son’s house and back home and then back into town and home. It not like I went out for a walk to get the steps up like you see people doing on youtube!
I have decided that I am going to try and up my goal to 15000 steps a day to make it a bit more challenging but to be honest this week I have been averaging 15941.8 steps a day so it may need to be increased again.

I have managed to keep up with the 10000 steps a day over the 4 days that I have worked although Sunday and Monday were a stuggle and I had to go out walking around the block to get over 10000 before bed. Sunday was due to having to drive to work as I had to go out after work and Monday was due to being really busy and not moving all shift!
I am pleased that I was able to keep up the steps and think that I may keep 10000 as my goal for now.

My manual machine arrived today so I going to set that up tonight and start working on my manuals for at least an hour a day for now.

I have been getting the 10000 steps a day done and I am feeling much better for it. I now need to focus on getting to the gym regularly as well. I also need to get back on the bike.
I have just bought some rollers which arrived today so I plan to use them for now to get the legs spinning and build up the endurance ready for the new season.
The manual machine has also arrived but I haven’t been able to build it yet as I have to organize my flat first to make space for the machine and the rollers. I am hoping to get everything sorted this weekend ready to start getting back in shape.
I am on holiday next week so I hope to get out on the road bike as well as I have no excuses not to. I also want to get back on the track to test the Achilles out and see where I am with it.
I also took the spokes and rims off of the stealth hubs ready to take them to crucial on Monday to get them serviced and built up on 20″ rims so that I can get the Yess world cup built up to ride and train on.

Been doing well with the walking but not done much else except for I stopped drinking coke. I had no coke at all yesterday and today I am feeling really bad. I have a headache and a really dodgy stomach so will be mostly staying in bed I think! Here is the breakdown of my steps this month:

Had a tough day today as the coca cola (caffeine?) withdrawal kicked in hard today. Had a really bad headache behind my eyes all day until I had some appletizer and chocolate then I felt better.
At about 5pm I headed out to homebase and bought some more soft flooring to put under the aquarium shelves and also under the manual machine and rollers once I have moved the aquarium shelves into the lounge to make space I the bedroom.
I then went to my son’s house and picked him up and his old scooter and walked home and dropped the stuff off and picked up his new printer and then walked him and the printer back home.
Considering that I didn’t do anything until 5pm really I am pleased that I got my 10000 steps in again today:

Struggled to get the 10000 steps in today as I stayed in bed all day watching movies so at 5pm I was on just over 200 steps!
By the time I got home I was on almost 9000 so I walked around a lot for the rest of the night while doing my chores and setting up the rollers to use tomorrow.
I ended up getting over 10000 steps by 23:00 but in the process my fitbit totally died and I had to do a hard reset on it which reset the device so I am now on 0 steps again! Not overly impressed with the device as I have only been using it for just over a month and I have already had to do a hard reset to get it working which is not ideal.
Also just before 23:00 the app also stopped displaying steps so the only way that I knew that I had done the 10000 steps was an alert from the device on my phone also not the best!
If it keeps going like this I may have to look at a different device to count steps!!
