Week 32 – Sunday 3rd August to Saturday 9th August 2025

Sunday 3rd August 2025

Weight = 103.1 kgs

Steps = 4338 Steps

So this morning I got up with my alarm at 5:00 again and got up and did my weigh-in and I was surprised to see that I am down to 103.1 kgs this morning so I dropped 0.8 kgs yesterday! I guess I did eat clean and did 2 hours on the bike and over 12000 steps for the day so it just shows how doing things properly helps. This is the lightest that I have been since 21/07/2025 so basically 2 weeks ago. And before that I was not lighter than this until 25/05/2025 (70 days ago!) So it is looking good at the moment! I need to keep going with the clean eating to see how far I can go! I also feel so much better without the crap too! 

I then had my NMN, washed down with creatine and then I had a chunk of roast beef that I cooked up on Friday and then I got dressed and went to the track. I got to the track about 6:00 and I did 3rd and 4th straights again this morning but I was still sore from yesterday and it was also spitting for most of my session and it was also a bit windy as well! Even with all the issues it was a good session but I had to cut the session short as I had to go home to start work as I had some OOH stuff that needed doing today.

I also need to pop back later to drop off the Standard for my Friend to borrow to see if he likes it or not. I also got a message from another friend about buying the StayStrong so I am waiting for him to say yes or no to the price and then that will be gone too! i took the bike up about 12:00 and was home again working by 12:35 and I worked through until 20:00 when I got finished I then made a couple of burgers so that I have breakfast for the morning and then I did the washing up and went to bed and watched TV until 21:30 when i went to sleep!

I got 4338 Steps in for the day and my back was screaming 🙁

Monday 4th August 2025

Weight = 102.8 kgs

Steps = 9501 Steps

So this morning I woke up 15 minutes before my exam and got up and checked some stuff for work then I did my weigh-in and I was down 0.3 kgs to 102.8 kgs this morning even though I hardly walked yesterday! My back is really sore so I am just eating my breakfast burger then I will get changed and go for a walk to try and ease the pain in my back! Depending how the walk eases my back I will decide if I am walking or riding to the office this morning!

At about 05:45 I got out and walked and as expected my back is feeling much better! That being said my neck is more sore which is a bit concerning! I then showered and got dressed and then rode the S&M into the office worked until almost 1pm then rode home again! My back was really sore today so I chilled and worked the rest of the night and didn’t go for an afternoon/evening walk tonight so I fell 499 steps short of my 10000 step goal at 9501 steps!

Tuesday 5th August 2025

Weight = 102.4 kgs

Steps = 11989 Steps

I had a really bad nights sleep last night so when my alarm went off this morning at 5:00 I turned it off and set it for 6:00 and went back to sleep for a bit. My back and neck were also really hurting so there was no point riding the bike first thing!  At 6:00 I got up and did my weigh-in and I was surprised that I was down to 102.4 kgs this morning 🙂 This is 0.1 kgs heavier than my lightest weigh of the year back in 23/05/2025 so that is a good sign that the carnivore diet is walking as I haven’t really been doing much exercise really! 

I then ate the 6 leftover sausages that I cooked when I did my tea last night and then showered and went out for a walk to try and get my back to hurt a bit less. I wore my new running shoes that arrived yesterday while I was at the office and they are super strange compared to my Vivobare foot shoes and the Vans that I usually wear and once I got used to them I felt really good wearing them walking so I think that they will be fine to run in when my back is better! By the time I was back I was on 4781 steps and my FitBit was at 12% battery so I put it on to charge and cracked on with work!

I think that eating clean Carnivore and doing the 30/30/30 and Priming is starting work and I have finally got used to eating at 5:00 so its not as horrible as it was last week 🙂 Eating before walking/ going to the track really seems to work as well as I am fueled for the exercise instead of being in a calorie deficit and feeling dizzy and tired while working out so it definitely helps.

After work I decided not to ride the bike as I was hurting still and instead chilled in bed all afternoon and then at 17:00 I got ready and at 17:30 I headed into town to meet up with my Son, Ex Wife and some friends visiting and had a Pizza and a couple of beers which was nice then I walked home again.

By the end of the day I was on 11989 Steps so a fair amount 🙂

Wednesday 5th August 2025

Weight = 102.1 kgs

Steps = 2128 Steps

This morning I woke up at 6:00 as I forgot to change my alarm back to 5:00 last night! I then got up and did my weigh-in and I was surprised to see that I had dropped another 0.3 kgs to now be weight 102.1 kgs and be the lightest that I have been this year 🙂 This was a bit surprising as I thought that I would be a little heavier today due to the Pizza and Beer last night but apparently the walk home afterwards was enough to negate it 🙂

In the afternoon I was weak and bought some cakes and ate them all as well as some chicken in batter as well 🤦‍♂️

I also literally led in bed all afternoon/evening and didn’t go walking ☹️ To be honest I did need a bit of a rest and recharge so it’s all good. BUT I only got 2128 steps all day. I did have my FitBit on charge all morning so I maybe got to 3000 steps total which is not great!

Thursday 7th August 2025

Weight = 102.8 kgs

Steps = 9711 Steps

So this morning I woke up with my alarm at 5:00 as planned and did my weigh-in and as expected I was up 0.7 kgs to 102.8 kgs this morning 🤦‍♂️ This just proved that carbs/ plant oil crap is to blame for making me fat!

I then made my breakfast burger and ate it while doing my morning work chores even though I am off today. At 6:00 I got dressed and went to the track and I am now currently doing 3rd and 4th straights to work on my manuals and flow. After about 1.5 hours I put my bike and helmet in the container and walked back to the car and then headed into town to fill up the car with Petrol as I have to go to my parents later this morning to grab the DH bike and also I want to drop the Standard OS20 and the Curtis frame off to get them out of the flat and grab my other Curtis to get that ready to do sprints on when I start again next week!

My back was fine riding so I am hoping that it is on the mend! I have bought some LMNT Electrolyte packets to try to see if that will help with my back as online a lot of people were getting back pain due to electrolyte imbalance so it is worth a try! The LMNT is arriving sometime today. I also have to get my friends bike finished off as the brake cable arrived yesterday! I also need to wrap up the Dialled frame that I sold and box it up and weigh it too so that the guy buying it knows the postage cost.

After i got home from the track and had a meeting I went to the garage and got the Dialled frame and a box and boxed it up, weighted it and labelled it and then sent the price to the buyer and he paid for the frame and postage. I also finished building my friend’s son’s bike from the parts that I took off of the StayStrong frame that I bought so I can give that back to them this evening!

For the rest of the day I chilled waiting for the Amazon driver which meant that I missed the Post Office and didn’t go to my parents house.  At 17:30 I went to the track and setup for gates then did gates. I am still loving the S&M although its not the best for gates so I think next week I will start doing sprints on it to get used to it. Last night was fun as a lot of my friends were on their 4x bikes as they are racing at 4x at the weekend and wanted to get used to their bikes.

By the end of the day I was on 9711 Steps so almost 10000 but not quite! 

Friday 8th August 2025

Weight = 103.5 kgs

Steps = 1549 Steps

So I woke up as normal at 5:00 with my alarm and did my weigh-in and I am back up to 103.5 kgs today 🙁 I then did some work and it was all a bad idea as it was all broken and I spent literally all day fixing all the issues so did no walking or riding either! I did manage to pop out and post the Dialled to the guy who bought it so that is done at least! After work I was knackered and ended up breaking my fast 12 hours early so I did a 24 hour fast not a 36 hour one this week!

Although the day was basically a right off I did notice that the LNMT is starting to work as I am feeling way less stiff and my knee is feeling better so I guess part of the pain was due to dehydration.

By the end of the day I had only managed to get to 1549 Steps  🙁

Saturday 9th August 2025

Weight = 103.2 kgs

Steps = Steps

I woke up with my alarm again this morning feeling really good and I could feel that I had dropped a bit of weight as my stomach was feeling flatter again 🙂 When I did my weigh-in I was on 103.2 kgs so I dropped 0.3 kgs this fast but more importantly I am breathing much better again and I have hopefully got over the carb cravings and I can get back to being full carnivore so the weight starts dropping off again!

I then made some sausages to eat for breakfast and I am then planning to walk up to the track and ride for a while as the S&M is in the container so I will walk up and ride home. I noticed this morning that winter is drawing in as it was pitch black when I got up this morning and it is now 5:50 and its still pretty dark outside 🙁 This means before long it is going to be too dark to ride at the track first thing so I will have to go to the gym instead 🙁

I am going to wait until after the 15th to join the gym so next week I will try and get as many early track sessions in then its back to lunchtime sessions after that!

When I start at the gym I am planning on rucking to the gym, then working out and then rucking home again before getting ready for work. I am planning on changing my hours to start at 7:30 again instead of 6:30 and then I will still take a 2 hour lunch and then I will work an hour later to 17:00. This way I can get the ruck and gym done before work and then the BMX done at lunch time when its light and then in the evening I can either do some rollers or go for a walk when I need to. BMX training wise I am going to focus more on track skills until Xmas so I will not do any sprints and just ride the track and work on my pumping, manuals and learning to jump. After Xmas when my body is used to the gym I will add in Sprints to the mix to get BMX specific but until then its about building skill and a base fitness that I have been lacking.

On the track I will change it up a bit and start to be a little more focused with a clear plan of what I am doing that day as at the moment I just rock up and ride until I get bored and then go home. I will make an effort to start warming up as I would want to on race day so I will do 5 minutes on the rollers and then do 10 minutes of manuals and bunny hops to use the bunny hop bar that I have had in the container for a couple of months already! Then do a couple of activation sprints and THEN move onto the track and start with 5 pump laps then move on to ride whichever straight I am planning to ride that day! This way I will get into a routine and my body will know that its time to ride as I do the same thing every time!

When I get back from the track today I will find out a storage box and fill it up with all of my training stuff such as my sprint timers, travel rollers, sprint stands, sprint blocks and sprint stool and then I will take it to the track at lunch time when I go back to do the track work party at 12. I also need to pick up my road bike that I got back from having the front mech fitted and the gears sorted and some new black bar tape fitted too 🙂

At the weekend first thing I plan to do early morning road rides around town while its dark and then when I get back to shower and then go hit the track or a pump track as normal then I have the rest of the day free to chill. I may also add as Wednesday and/or Friday road session at lunch time as a recovery rides instead of riding the track every lunchtime as I think that it may be too much to start with. Also as I am fasting on Fridays I don’t feel like riding at lunch time so maybe a Friday 2 tunnels session instead makes sense or even a Friday walking session instead of the track!

So I had a really nice walk to the track and I noticed that my fitness is so much better than this time last year or even from the last time that I walked to the track as I was hardly breathing when I got to the track when the last time I walked there I was blowing out of my arse and had a pulse in my teeth so that shows that a little and often is way better than a lot of training in a short time! When I got to the track I got out of my runners and into my vans and then got the S&M out of the container and then I did just over an hour of 3rd and 4th straights and had a lot of fun and pumping and manuals are starting to make sense now 🙂 I wish i had done this years ago! I started to get a bit tired so I called it a day and rode home which was all down hill so I only had to pedal on a small part of the 2 tunnels which is a little bit uphill! I was on 7893 Steps by the time I was home so almost at 10000 steps already 🙂

When I was walking to the track I set a timer and it is a 15 minute walk to my hill sprint spot and its about 35 minutes to walk to the track so I could actually walk to the track, ride an hour and ride home again in 2 hours so I may do that every day as that will shed the blubber way more than driving to the track, riding and then riding home. Tomorrow Morning I will try pushing the bike to the track and time it and time the whole session to see if its viable.

While riding I noticed that I am getting way more out of my pump now and my manuals are now just an addition to the pump technique so they are now essentially effortless and I am starting to gain speed on every jump now! I am feeling like I am floating over the track not banging into everything which is good!

I am now meeting my friend at Stockwood later today and I am getting my Black Market back from him so I can try the S&M with the 24″ wheels tomorrow 🙂

While I was riding I messaged my friend as he is building up new bikes for next season and he asked if I wanted to buy some 175 mm Shimano Saints so I said yes and we agreed the price and I am paying for them next week 🙂 I am thinking that I may keep the 170 mm on the S&M at the moment as I am liking the way it rides.

Also Alan’s BMX had 1 set of 175 mm Profile Racing Cranks in black for sale from £200 to £170 so I bought them so I have the option to drop the gearing to 25 x 12 if I want.
