Track for Gates = Andover
Bike Choice = Supercross R7
Wheel Choice = Onyx
Pedal Choice = Flats
Fastest Gate = 2.557
So this afternoon I left Bath at 15:30 and headed to my friends house (via another Friends house to drop off the Cult that I built up for him) and get a lift to Andover for gates. I took my Son’s Supercross as it was the only bike i had in one piece in the house as I had to take the headset from the Staystrong to build up the Cult as the headset that I bought to go on the Cult hadn’t arrived in time 🙁
When we got there I registered my transponder with Eric and then we did a timed gates session and my fastest time For the night was 2.557 which is a fair bit off of the pace but I was on flats and I haven’t ridden the Supercross for a couple of years so not bad really 🙂 I need to get down to a 2.43 ish to be doing OK gates and 2.3 something to be up with the faster guys so a long way to go but I haven’t done a sprint for 2 years so it can be done.
Friday I am off work so I will swap the Supercross for my Curtis and start riding that all the time from now on! I need to put the transponder back on the Curtis too and swap the rear tyre for a 24 x 1.60 powerblock then just ride the Curtis and get all the other bikes up for sale. I will also get the timing system up and running at bath so that we can start getting timings at the track too. I went through the setup process with Eric last night and I saw the bits that I was missing I think so tomorrow I will try and get it working then I can do 2 timed gates sessions a week moving forwards.
