This morning I slept in as my legs were really sore and then got up at 7am, did my weigh in (Up to 107.3 kgs or +0.2 kgs from yesterday!) and then did some work and then showered and walked into the office at 7:30 am which hurt but I felt a lot better after the walk.
I then worked until 12:30 then walked home and get some food and then took my lunch break and chilled a bit then started work again at 14:00.
I then worked until 17:00 when I took a break and cut down my forks on the Black Market 24″ jump bike:
The new brake that I bought doesn’t come with a brake bracket so I will need to find one to fit the brake or I may have to swap the brake out for one of the Avid BB7’s that I bought but it seems like a shame to swap out a hydraulic brake for a cable actuated brake and I plan to use the bike on dirt jumps next year when I build some so it will need a good brake!
I have not got the brake fitted and the bike is now ready to ride 🙂
I will try and get a ride on the black market tomorrow afternoon as I am off as I am on call now. I may also take the Federal to the Skatepark tomorrow to try it out as I haven’t ridden it yet. I may go to MSN on the way to my parents at lunchtime tomorrow to get a ride on the Federal as I really want to start riding freestyle a bit more at night now.
I am currently on 11533 steps so walking to the office today got me over 10000 steps easily. I am jsut in the process of organising my bedroom so I can get my 10 minutes of backwards walking in too so get that ticked off too 🙂
I have just got a message from my friend that he has completed all 5 wheels that I gave him so I will have the 2 wheels for the OS20 build, 2 wheels for the S&M build and the new Front wheel for the Curtis as well.
I have just bought a new StayStong BMX specific Disk brake for the OS20 build and if I like it I will get one for the Curtis then both bikes will have the same brake going forwards. I have also bought a new Gusset Bottom bracket for the OS20 build and I will take the cranks off of the Dialled and stick them on the OS20 as they have a 44t chain ring on it and I will run a 44 x 18 gearing on the bike which is slightly lower gearing than the Cruiser at a roll out of 52.54 with a Tioga power block OS20 x 1.85 and the Cruiser with a 36 x 16 gearing and a 24 x 1.60 tyre has a roll out of 52.88.
I will then build the Dialled with a set of Sunday cranks and the Profile 44t chain ring then I will most likely sell the Dialled as I will not ride it as I have the S&M and the OS20 if I want to ride a 20″ bike so the Dialled is not needed any more!
I have loaded the Standard OS20 into the work stand for when the parts arrive they can go straight on it then when I get the wheels I can just put them on and away we go 🙂
I’m still not really taken with the blue stem but it is the correct size so it will have to do for now!
I am just about to take the 24″ Standard apart so that I can stick it on the wall in the place of the OS20 and it will free up a space in the bike rack for the OS20 when its complete later in the week too.
