So I woke up at 3:30 because I was having a coughing fit and then couldn’t get back to sleep so chilled on my phone until 5am when my alarm went off then I got up did my weigh-in (Back up to 103.4 kgs today so deffo going 100% carnivore today!) then I got showered and dressed and walked into the office! I then worked until 6:30 and then walked home and started my day again 🙂 I am feeling really rough at the moment and have chills and a sore throat and a bit of a cough so deffo feeling covidie!
By the time I got home I was on 7836 steps so I have big chunk of my 10000 steps done already so no need for a really long treadmill session tonight at least!
We have a bunch more deliveries coming today such as the Profile Elite rear disk hub that UPS were supposed to deliver yesterday but again didn’t bother so that is supposed to be arriving today between 9-11 although its 10:57 now and its not arrived yet so no doubt it will be rescheduled again for tomorrow!
Once it arrives I will have both the hubs and the rims to give to my friend to build up the OS20 wheels. It looks like the pedals are arriving today and the S&M 20″ will arrive tomorrow and the extra set of cranks and the brake calipers haven’t been sent yet so not sure when they will arrive at the moment!
Last night I ordered some new stickers for the S&M which I will scan and save so that I can re-make them myself when ever and also I bought 3 new race shirts that were on offer as I only have 2 that I can use at the moment. The new race pants for my Son and a new Source BMX t shirt for him are also supposed to arrive today so I am getting to the end of my deliveries now!
This lunch time I am going to set up the brake on the cult and swap out the grips so that it is a complete bike and then when the pedals arrive I will fit them and then its 100% ready to ride when I am feeling better! I will also go to the garage and grab the GT and get that all build up and take some photos and see if anyone I know wants to buy it before sticking it online to sell. I have jsut bought a £10 Sunday front load stem to go on the GT to make it look a bit better as the stem on there is really bad so once that arrives it will be all ready to go. I also bought a StayStong front load stem to go on the DK as I took the stem off of the DK to go on the Black Market so now i have enough stems to build up all of my bikes. I will most likely sell the DK and the GT once I get them built up. I have also bought some Ikon 20mm to 10mm Fork Adapters from UrbanAir so that I can put the Halo front wheel off of the Cult onto my Son’s Supercross and then I can put his current 20mm front wheel back onto the DK so I can sell it!
Once the Profile wheels arrive for the Cult I will sell the Halo Freewheel wheel that is currently on the Cult as I will not need it any more and add the money to the buy a bike rail fund. I am going to go for the ceiling mount system as its half the price of the free standing one and the free standing one was only good for the flat but after measuring it up its way too big anyway so I will have to have the bikes in the garage and lock them to the floor! At the weekend I plan to go through the shed and clear it out and maybe go to the tip to get rid of a load of stuff so that I can use the shed to put at least on or 2 bikes into as well as get rid of the arm chair that is in my bedroom as it is way to big and doesn’t get used either!
So the pedals arrived just after lunch time as promised. Still no UPS so I am guessing that the hub will arrive tomorrow or Friday 🙁
I am feeling like complete arse so I will take it easy until about 8 pm then I will get my remaining steps in and do my 10 minutes of backwards walking then go to bed and sleep this off!
So the hub tracking has now been moved to end of day today so I’m pretty certain that it will be delivered tomorrow or Friday 🙁 However the disk brakes have just arrived unexpectedly so its not all bad.
This evening I will be getting my Onyx front wheel back so I will take it apart and get the front wheel built up to replace my Curtis front wheel with a Sun Envy rim as I could only get a Halo rim at the time I got my Front wheel built up so it would be nice to get a matching set of rims. I will then sell the Halo wheel set that is currently on the Cult and get more money back 🙂
It means that I didn’t really need the 20mm to 10mm adaptor but its useful to have one in case I have to use one of my other wheels in the future. I have just bought a new 24 x 1.75 rim and a 60mm Crupi I-Beam Stem from Crucial so when they arrive I will get the new front wheel built up and put the longer stem on the Black Market as well.
That is the last thing that I am buying for bikes for a while until I pay back all the money that I have spent this month that is! Once I am all paid up I will then look at getting some decent wheels (Probably Profile Mini’s or Elites) for the S&M to replace the Haro wheels that I have for it at the moment then I will sell the Haro wheels too.
I am thinking that I may get a Spacerail 4 bike storage rail now and then I can get some of my bikes in the garage out of the flat then when I have paid off all the spends from now I can get another one when I have money and then I can have 8 bikes stored in the garage neatly as they are extendable. This means that I can stick the bikes that I am not using at the moment out in the Garage while I sell them and then when everything is paid off I can get the other rail and have more bikes in the garage!
Having 4 bikes out there would mean that I can have the GT, DK, Sunday 24″ and the Jump bike out in the garage that are currently in the way in my flat then in the flat I will have the Curtis, Standard 24″, My son’s Supercross, the Black Market and I will stick the Cult in the shed as its going to be my ride about bike for the winter! I will see how I go with the organising over the weekend and then crack on with getting some of the bikes sold.
When I got back from the track I was wekk over 10000 steps so I got on the backwards treadmill and did my 10 minutes backwards walking and then grabbed my wheel and cut all the spokes and got the rim and hub seperated so I now have the 20mm Onyx Ultra hub to get laced to the Sun Envy when it arrives and then the rim is going to my friend so he can build up some wheels.
I am currently on 13132 steps and I am just going to get the Cult on the bike stand and change the pedals and sort out the brake so that I can take it for a ride if I feel better tomorrow.
Tomorrow I will get the cranks on the Curtis too so I can ride it at the weekend as I may go do some gates at Bath while most people are in Llynfi for the SW champs as I am not able to go race there so may as well do some gates. I might even try testing the timing system too.
I am hoping that I will have all the bikes back together by next week then I can start trying to sell the ones that I am going to sell and get the rest rideable and start enjoying them. I have just remembered that I need to buy a couple chains today to make sure I can finish all the bikes when all the parts have arrived! I also want to get a 41 x 18 gearing on the Curtis too as I think that it will be my race gearing next year so I may as well get used to it now!
