Ill again :-(

So yesterdays stomach issues seems to have been a pre-cursor for some kind of illness as I woke up this morning with a sore throat, aching body and an even more dodgy stomach so I am officially getting sick I think 🙁

I woke up a 5 am and reset my alarm for 7 am and didn’t wake up until the alarm woke me up and then I fell asleep for another 30 minutes so I know that I am ill now! When i got up I did my weigh in and found that I was up to 102.6 kgs despite the cycling, walking and backwards walking so I am going 100% carnivore from today to try and get back on track and reach my goal of getting under 100 kgs by the end of the month!

I need to drop a bit more to get my new race pants to fit properly so I am now on a mission! The new George Foreman grill is arriving today so I can start making cheese and bacon burgers with all the mince I have in the freezer to save some cash too and help use up the eggs too as the last couple weeks I have been living on takeout which is really crap and also costs a lot so for the rest of the month its omlettes and freezer meat all the way!

I have a load of chicken thighs to eat up today then it will be home made burgers using an egg to bind the meat so I get extra protein with them 🙂 The new grill is going to get severely tested this week that’s for sure!

Last night I got an email to say that the S&M has been posted and it will be here around the 12th September so Thursday or Friday probably so I will have the weekend to build it up and play on it! The pedals and other set of cranks and the new hubs for the OS20 will be here this week too so I will be able to get all the bikes running probably by the end of the month hopefully then I just have to figure out where to put them all as I am running out of space in the flat now!

I am going to get rid of the arm chair in my room as it is only getting used to dump clothes on so its going to go to the tip at the weekend that will mean that I can get 2 more bikes on the wall on the 2 bike vertical bike rack that is currently in the garage and I can have one on the floor in between the bikes on the walls too then I will still need to clear out the shed to make room for a couple of bikes in there too and then I need to get sorting out the Garage and probably get a proper roof bike rack to get the bikes organised properly although I will need to save up to get a Stashed Rail as it will be £600 if I go for the roof fitting system or £1300 for the free standing version both for 8 bikes which is the minimum that I will need for now! I am thinking that I am going to sell at a minimum the following bikes and use the money to buy the bike rack for the rest of my bikes to live on:

Standard 125R (get old Curtis back to replace)

Road Bike (Think I have sold this already)

This should get me the money to buy the Roof System but hopefully enough to get the Free Standing one as it is more practical and I could have it in my bedroom to keep the bikes safer than in the garage then I can use the space in the garage as a gym instead 🙂

At some point I need to get the DH bike booked in to get the suspension dialled in for me to ride it then I can start going to wind hill when its really crappy weather like today as BMX in the rain sucks 🙁

As I’m sick I have decided to move starting the knee level zero program and starting sprints until next week! There is also no point marking lines either as they will be washed off before I get to use them BUT I will try and get my 10000 steps in and do the 10 minutes walking backwards even if it means just doing 10000 steps on the treadmill its better than nothing! Forcing myself to do this as a minimum should get me back in the habit of doing it and also means that hopefully I can start to get the weight dropping off again while not doing too much to start with while I get rid of whatever I have now 🙁 It also means that once I am over the bug I have I will be in a better place to start training properly than if I have been slobbing around doing nothing for a week! Starting tomorrow lurgey dependent I will start getting up and walking to the office first thing then doing whatever and walking back before I start with the normal day to day tasks at 7-7:30 to get back in the habit of getting up and walking first thing as I seem to be more motivated to get up when I have to get up for work so I may as well lean into it and use it to keep motivated to get up and walk 🙂 I also have loads of things that I never get to do due to stuff cropping up all the time so I will use my morning quiet time to get them done!

When I start feeling better I can start wearing the weight vest again and start rucking again as I was starting to feel the benefits of that when I did it before and now that my knees are starting to feel better from the backwards walking I need to start doing it more as it really builds leg strength too!

So this afternoon the Profile hub arrived from Crucial and I am waiting on the other bits to arrive now:

The auction for the wheels ended today and I won with my initial bid again so happy days 🙂 The seller has messaged me to say that they will be posted out tomorrow or Thursday so should be here by early next week I guess. I’ve just noticed that they are Profile Mini’s not Profile Elites so I didn’t get quite as good a deal as I thought but they were still a good price so its all good. I will be putting them on my Cult in the place of the Halo freewheel wheels that are on there so both the Standards will have Profile elites and the Cult will have Profile mini’s so all the bikes will have really decent wheels that will take the weather! I may buy another profile elite disk hub to go on the Curtis too and keep the Onyx wheel currently on it for racing on. I’ll sleep on it and decide later in the week.

So by 6pm I was still on 500 steps so I got on the treadmill and started walking! I finally got to 10000 steps at 20:36 and then did my 10 minutes of backwards walking on level 3 to finish off the say. I was feeling crap but feeling better for getting my exercise done! I am deffo getting up at 5 in the morning and walking into the office so I am on 8000 steps at least before my day starts at 7:30!

By 20:54 I was done with my 10 minutes backwards walking and it had added another 1025 steps so I was on 11025 steps 🙂

By the end of the day I was on 11199 steps so a fair bit over my 10000 step goal 🙂
