So for the past couple of weeks I have been cutting down on drinking Coca Cola and then last weekend I stopped drinking Coca Cola all together and just drank other fizzy drinks this week. Yesterday I only had one medium McDonlads Coca Cola all day so today I am going to cut out all fizzy drinks all together and go cold turkey over the weekend to hopefully get over the worst of the comedown symptoms before Monday!
I have just done a weigh in and I am a whopping 108.6 kgs or 17 stones 1 pound which is crazy heavy seeing I should weigh about 11 stones!
Because I am exercusing a fair bit and not losing weight I have decided to get radical with my diet and give the carnivore diet a go for a month so over the weekend I will eat all my non animal based foot and then its steak and eggs all the way for a month! I have also decided to go back to intermittent fasting as well so I will eat at 11am for my first meal every day and then finish eating at 7pm to do the 16:8 fasting plan. I have heard that doing the carnivore diet makes fasting easier as you eat less as you don’t feel hungry any more but for now I know that 16:8 works for me so I’ll do that!
I also really need to get back into the habit of walking every day as this week the most steps I did in a day was 5416 and the least was yesterday when I only managed 1140 steps for the entire day! I was howerever doing 12 hours of studying for work but still 1000 stepos for a day is really bad!
I have also been thinking about the gym and I have decided that I will switch my gym days to Tuesday and Thursday mornings as tuesday morning I need to start later as I am on a half day from being on call on Monday nights and at the moment I am starting early and finishing late so I lose most of my half day which is crap! I also work from home both dayhs so I can come home and shower after the gym which makes it way easier that having to bring an extra set of clothes etc to shower to go into the office! I will then get one day at the gym over the weekend with my son to finish off the week.
Monday, Wednesday and Fridays I will go back to getting up early and walking again to get into the habit again! I will also wear the weight vest so I am technically rucking but that is basically walking anyway so I’m calling it rucking!
I have alos basically stopped going to the track at lunch times other than on Tuesdays when I meet my friend as he is there coaching anyway! The past couple months I have gone from being there every day for at least an hour to only going once a week at most! As my knee is now fine when riding but hurts when I do gates I am going to stop doing gates until the gym has fixed my knee issues so I will spend a couple of months getting back into riding before I start back on sprints and gates again over the winter! I really need to work on doing full laps as well as improve my manuals and jumping and overall bike skills so lunchtimes will be full lap pump lap sessions followed by skill specific sessions on the 3rd and 4th straights to stop be just turning up and riding the 1st straight!
I also need to make more of an effort to walk after work too so I will start turning the laptop off at 4pm and go for another walk for an hour after work to make sure that I get well over 10000 steps and also de-stress from the work day! I have got back into the habit of going straight back to ged and watching TV after work so I literally don’t move from 4pm until I get up the next day so my flat is starting to be a real mess and I have not done any reading or studying for at least 3 months so I need to sort myself out and get off of the phone and stop watching TV again!
My evening will now look something like this:
16:00-17:00 – Walk around town
17:00-18:00 – Study/ Blogging
18:00-19:00 – Cooking, eating and then Cleaning 30 minutes.
19:00-20:00 – TV
20:00-21:00 – Reading
21:00 – Sleep
This will obviously change on Monday nights as I am on call so will be working most of the time but I think that I will take an hour between 15:00 and 16:00 to get my walk in as I am basically working from 16:00-22:00 so can’t follow my routine!
At weekends I will be less structured but I really want to keep up with the walking on the weekends and I have one gym session to do too but other than that I will chill and relax more at he weekend and try and get out on the bike more too!
This weekend I am going to clean my arm chair that I finally got around to bringing into the house from the garage and set up my reading nook in my bedroom now that I have moved all of my weights into the garage out of the way!
