So I had a rest day yesterday as I was feeling pretty shitty as I tried to cut out Coca Cola all in one go which did not work at all 🙁 I felt like crap and had a massive headache most of the day so at 6pm I caved and bought some coke and had a can! I felt better almost immediately so its deffo Coca Cola withdrawal!
I went to sleep about 20:30 and woke up at 5:00 this morning with my alarm, I got up got showered and went out for a walk at 5:30. I did my normal loop and it took just over 35 minutes and I walked 5044 steps by the time I was home again so just over half of my 10000 steps for the day done and its not even 6:30 yet 🙂 My back is feeling way better from walking and my breathing is much less laboured too so I am glad that I got up and walked! I really need to make an effort to get out and walk first thing every morning to try and get back to being healthy again and try and get my back sorted out again!
As I missed my weight session yesterday I plan to do it tonight instead to make up for it! This will mean that I still have a days rest before the next weight session so its all good 🙂 I will also try and get my roller session in as well as the roller session will make a good cool down from the weights anyway 🙂 I will leave the skipping until next week though as my back is still a bit sore to be jumping a lot still!
I am planning on meeting my friend at the track at 12:00 to do gates so I am going to do them on the Black Market to see how it feels on the gate. I still haven’t tried it with the new forks yet but I think it will be OK but we will see 🙂
I rode the Black Market today and I am really liking it! The new forks make it feel a lot more like a Cruiser now so I’m super happy about it and I don’t think I really need to buy the new forks at the moment! I will deffo need 170mm cranks though on pay day but other than that the bike is fine! I tried a manual off of the triple today and it was super clean so I am definitely going to ride this bike a lot more than the Cruiser for the rest of the year! I will probably use the Cruiser for gates and I am thinking of getting a 24 x2.10 Tioga Power block for the Cruiser as well to try and reduce the damage to my wrist while I am riding it for now as I’m not racing so its not a big deal to be super fast! And preventing further damage to my wrist is way more productive than being super fast!
After I do my weight training tonight I will swap the Amazon Cranks for the Shimano Saints cranks that I grabbed from the container at the weekend to get the Curtis running optimally! I may also try using the front wheel from the Black Market on the Curtis for gates on Thursday night to see if it feels any better or not!
So I have just been trying to do my weights routine and I am unable to get the bar on my back and squat at the moment so I have decided for this month I will do body weight exercises instead of weights and build up to weights in a couple more months when I am ready as I am struggling at the moment with shoulder, back and ankle flexability so doing body weight squats and step ups will be less stressful than adding the bar and weight at the moment! My back is sore now so I will rest it and try again on Friday! I will do bench press as normal with the weights then body weight squats then weights for bicep curl and body weight for step ups and body weight calf raises too.
I will try and do my plyometrics routine tomorrow as planned!
My bike stand to use for roller sprints arrived today so I will try them as well tomorrow to get them started ASAP!
