Rucking Challenge day 2.1

Woke up with my alarm at 5am, got up and did my weigh in and I am back up to 107.3kgs this morning although I am certain that this weight gain is muscle as my legs, arms and shoulders are looking more ripped and my stomach is looking smaller too :-), so I’m not too bothered about it at the moment! I will keep an eye on it just in case but I can’t see it going up too much more!

I then got showered, dressed put the weight vest on and then walked to the office did some bits and bobs then walked home about 6:30. I remembered to start Strava and stop it when I got home for once too:

I walked 3.69miles for 7922 and walked for just over an hour and apparently burnt 729 steps 🙂 I am now on 8148 steps at the moment so not much to go until I am at my 10000 steps for the day 🙂

I have decided that instead of going straight into weights I will do some bodyweight exercises before bed each night just to try and get ripped and slowly ease into weight training. I plan to start next week and do a circuit of 3 sets of 20 reps of pressups, squats, pull ups, step ups and calf raises to build up a base fitness before moving on to weights to start building strength. I plan to do them Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and see how it goes. I may well add the weight vest after a couple of weeks too 🙂

I am planning on going to the track about 11:30 for an hour then driving to my Parents house as they have a BT engineer visiting today to fix their broadband so I want to be there to help the engineer out and make sure that it gets fixed.

I have notice that my arms are really fatigued today so I’m not sure how much I will be able to do but I will do as much as I can anyway 🙂

I wasn’t able to get to the track at lunch time today as by the time I had finished work I had to get to my parents so I had a relaxing afternoon waiting for the internet to be fixed and took the dog for a walk and then a not so relaxing time trying to insure my Dad’s car!

By the time I got home and had put the bins out I was on 12616 steps so not too bad for a rest day!
