Rucking Challenge Day 5

Woke up with my alarm at 5am this morning even though I was on call last night and got to bed late. I did my weigh in and I have dropped 0.6kgs yesterday so I am down from 106.7kgs to 106.1kgs this morning 🙂 This is mainly due to not stopping from 5am-22:30 yesterday and all I ate until 5pm was an apple at 2pm so I did some serious intermittent fasting yesterday!

I then got showered and dressed and then got the weight vest on and went for a walk on as flat a course as possible. I walked for just over and hour (1:01:35) and walked 3.49 miles (7302 Steps) and apparently burnt 689 Cals.

The walking with the 10kg weight vest is feeling OK to be honest I’m not really noticing it any more so I think by next week I need to add some hills to my walk to make it more difficult and keep max fat burning 🙂

I am going to save for a 25 or 30kg weight vest over the next couple months then I can take some of the weight out and slowly build up from 10kg to 35kgs over the next few months and see how that helps as I think that my body will adapt pretty quickly to the 10kgs that i am am using at the moment!

I am still amazed at how good rucking is for the core as I can feel how my core is always more engaged now so that is a really good bonus result from my morning ruck 🙂

I think that I am going to have to go to the hospital soon and get the splinter out of my finger as my finger is getting worse and the splinter is getting deeper in my finger not moving closer to the surface as it should be 🙁

I am debating going this evening once my food has been delivered to get it out of the way! I also have the dog coming to visit from Wednesday until Sunday so I need to get it done today really as I will not be able to go when she is here as she doesn’t stay home on her own very well! Especially for the normal 4-5 hour visit to casualty that you normally get!

At lunch time today I got a stomach ache and had a lot of diarrhoea so I have decided not to go out on the bike today as it could well not end well if I do! I am instead doing some blogging before cleaning the house while I wait for my shopping to arrive between 17:30 and 18:30! I will then get the treadmill out and go for an hours walk I think as I am feeling really lazy even though I rucked for over an hour this morning!
