Weigh-in

Woke up this morning at 5:30 and did my weigh in then got ready for work and walked into the office. Walking was a good choice as the pavement and roads were really icy and I was slipping all over the place walking so I would have deffo done something on my bike! The weigh in wasn’t as good as my impromptu weigh-in yesterday and my weigh had gone up from 105.6kgs to 106.7kgs in a day! I think a lot of it was due to the fact that I caved and bought some crisps and chocolate last night and then after eating it I went to the pub for a BMX club AGM and had a couple of pints! I have still dropped 0.4kgs this week so although its not as good as I was yesterday its still almost 1/2kg lost last week so pretty good.

Going into the office first thing not only meant that I got a lot more done today that I have been getting done but I was also a whole lot more active and I was on 8717 steps after walking to walk, walking around the office and then walking home so without really trying I have added almost 9000 steps to my daily routine without changing too much! I am planning to keep going into the office early in the mornings and then taking the extra hour that I do in the morning as a longer lunch so I have 2 hours at lunch time to walk home and then when the weather gets a bit better ride my bike and then eat!

The 2 hour lunch means that I can go to the track at lunch time and get some laps in on the way home once my Swytch kit arrives. To get to the track from my office I have to basically ride up a mountain so I need an ebike otherwise I will be in no state to ride when I get to the track if I go on the normal bike! This is the reason that I wanted the e-bike in the first place so that I can easily get to the track to train! It does mean that I will need to leave a bike, helmet and body armour in the container at the track to use when training but thats a small price to pay for it being way easier, cheaper and healthier to go by bike!

On the other hand, getting home from the track is super easy as its downhill all the way and half of the journey is on the 2 tunnels so there is no traffic either 🙂

At the moment just walking to and from work should be enough to get the weight dropping off faster and I will probably just do this for another week or so and then hopefully by then the weather will be better and the Swytch kit will have arrived so I can start adding the BMX track back into my Daily routine. I am planning do do track sessions Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then when my body id a bit better add sprints early morning Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My plan at the moment is to go into the office early every morning and then leave at lunch and work from home in the afternoons then I can easily get showered and eat after training and before work!
