My new Octane One Zircus Jump Frame arrived bright and early thing morning (Thank you Wiggle) and I opened it up and it is really pretty. The paintwork has sparkles in it which you can not see in the photos online! I’m not too bothered about it as the frame was cheap and will most likely get battered and resprayed pretty quickly anyway 🙂
The issue that I have encountered is that the seat tube is bigger than the normal BMX/ mountain bike seat tube so I don’t have a seat clamp or seat post that will fit it 🙁
I have checked the specks and it uses:
- SeatPost: SeatPost/Clamp: 30.9mm / 34.9mm
I have now ordered a 27.2mm to 30.9mm seat post shim and a 34.9mm seat post clamp from Wiggle that should be here tomorrow. I am also buying a 30.9mm Gusset MTB Pivotal Seatpost direct from Gusset’s site to use permanently.
I have just finished building the Chase to take to Bristol as it is now sold so that will clear up some space 🙂 It looks pretty good to be honest seeing as its basically built up of spare parts. The cranks are mine so are not being sold:
