First ride to the office after borrowing the ebike. Testing the Dialled MX24R as a daily driver :-)

I had to ride in to the office on the Dialled MX24R that I got build up earlier in the week. I was actually surprised how easy it was to be honest. I was expecting to be blowing out of my arse but I wasn’t even breathing heavy when I got to work which is a good sign.

I was feeling it in my legs a bit when I got off the bike they were a bit sore when walking but other than that it was all good.

I am missing the mud guards off of the ebike too as my bum was a bit damp my the time I got off so I may look for some mountain bike mud guards to go on the bike to keep me dry. The other option is to stop being lazy and put my waterproof’s on 🙂

I am super happy that I have found a use for the Dialled as it was a shame to leave it hanging on the wall just because the head-tube had a dent in it. The Sunday Sticker has fixed the dent issue too 🙂

You can still see the dent if you look closely but at least the sticker makes it look slightly better and also keeps the water away from the bare metal. If my friend ever gets the Dialled Decal sets made up I will try and do a better repair before adding the stickers.

The only issue I had with the bike was the cranks worked themselves loose so I had to tighten them up when I got home. They should be good now but I am going to leave my Tall Order tool in my work bag so that I can tighten them up if needed in the future.

I may change up the gearing later on as the 36×16 is super spinny for riding to work on. It will be a shame as I really like the Renthal Sprocket that is on it but I think I at least need to raise the gearing to 37×16 to be better for higher speeds. This will also mean that I am over gear training compared to my race bikes which is always good as it makes moving the lower gearing way easier after a while. After thinking it over a bit, I think that a black spider and chain ring will actually look better than the gold spider that is currently on the bike so I’m not sad about losing it any more 🙂

I think that I have a profile spider and a 37t Rennen Chain ring in my parts box so apart from losing the pretty sprocket I will just need to buy some chain ring bolts so change the gearing as I have new chains arriving today 🙂 I will get some chain ring bolt ordered later today.

After riding the bike today I have to say that I am really impressed with the Halo Clickster freewheel that is on the bike. It has really good engagement for a freewheel and sounds really good too! No need for a bell on this bike 🙂 I am also loving the Cult pedals that I bought as they are super grippy and perfect for

Other than that I need to move the bars back a bit as they are too far forwards then the bike will be perfect.
