2023/24 Bikes

So as I am sick and have finished Netflix and Amazon Prime I have decided that I will do a Rundown of my 2023/24 bikes as I have nothing better to do 🙁

The parts for the Dialled arrived yesterday so I did put the StayStrong Flat bars on the Curtis and the forks and the S&M bars off of the Curtis onto the Dialled so the Dialled is now fully ready to train on and the Curtis is race ready apart from the brake which I will try and get fitted today if I can muster up the energy!

I am waiting on some washers for the disk brake to arrive and then I will try and get the Shimano hydraulic brake fitted as I will need it going off of the 5m hill as you never know if something will go wrong at that speed!

I will also pack the cable actuated brake setup that I have at the moment just in case but its not very effective so unless something bad happens to the hydraulic brake I can’t see it being used again! I am thinking about getting a Hope brake as they are really good and they will go with the headset which is also hope!

The Chris King Ceramic Bottom bracket that I ordered arrived yesterday too but I am going to save that until next season and use the Forward BB that I have at the moment on there until I start racing nationals again! So once the brake is sorted then the Curtis will be 100% sorted and I can just ride it!

The OS20 Rims also arrived from Crucial yesterday along with the Tioga power block 20″ tyres for the Chase RSP 2.0 that I bought on ebay earlier in the week when that arrives. I have now decided that I am going to leave the wheels that are on the Chase as they are and ride the bike as is and then give the rims back to Crucial to get them built up with Profile elite Disk Rear hub and Profile elite Front hub then I will convert the Chase into an OS20  to get used to before the Standard OS20 arrives later in the year.

Here is a rundown of my 2023/24 bikes:

I am going to use this as my Race/Gates Bike and use one of the following bikes as my training bike:

Dialled MX24R Cruiser (Container Bike)

IMG 3179This bike is essentially my container bike that I leave in the container so that I can ride the ebike to the track and train without having to bring a bike to the track every day! It has the same size top tube as the Curtis so it is close enough to not feel too different.

It has lower spec components so that it should be fine to leave in the container and not stop working unlike the high spec components on the Curtis which do not like to left in damp humid environments for long periods of time. The Bikes specs are:

Frame – Dialled MX24R (Repainted Luminous Yellow)

Forks – Stay Strong Race DVSN 24″ (10mm)

Wheels – Shimano DXR Hubs on Halo Rims with Halo spokes and chrome nipples. 24×1.75 Tioga PowerBlock Tyres

Cranks – SUNDAY SAKER V2 CRANKS (175mm)

Sprocket – Renthal 36t Sprocket (Had for years in the garage but never used)

Stem – S&M
