10000 steps done without really walking!

Today I got my 10000 steps done without really “going for a walk!” instead I walked to and from work and then had to do a lap of my local small loop at 20:30 to get to 10000 steps!

I did this as I started work at 6:30 this morning so I decided that it was better to walk to the office instead of riding the bike so that I got most of my steps in travelling instead of riding ot and from work and then having to go for a long walk when I got to back from work in the evening!

This turned out to be an even better option as I didn’t finish work until 19:00 so it would have been a struggle to fit in a walk and go to my parents house to feed their fish!

I have been walking again for just 3 days but already my back is feeling much better and I am feeling much better in myself too! My stomach is also feeling much better now too.

I am going to stay off the bike this weekend and just walk and then start back on the bike next week sometime. Maybe getting on the road bike first and then getting on the BMX later in the week.

I also need to urgently start stretching as I know that it will help with my back issues and is also good for improving performance and preventing injurys BUT, it is also pretty boring in my opinion which is why I always put it off!

I also want to start doing a body-weight conditioning program twice a week to try and work my way out of hurting all the time!

I plan to do the following exercises:

Squats

Press ups

Step ups

Crunches

Calf Raises

Back extensions

I will start off with 3 x 20 reps and then increase from there.
