IMG 7021FF07561A 1 I woke up this morning at 5:45 (15 minutes before my alarm) got up got dressed and went out for my first morning walk of my new 10000 Steps a day training plan from today until the end of the year.

I added a few more hills to the walk but headed home a bit early as my stomach wasn’t feeling too great so I figured that I should head home before I had an accident! I got home just in time so it was a great decision!

Although I didn’t make the 10000 Steps in my first walk I wasn’t too worried about it as I have to walk to the hospital after lunch so I will easily make my 10000 Step goal before I get back from the hospital!

This morning I Walked 3.12 miles in 55.49 minutes with an elevation gain of 231ft so all in all the walk was pretty flat. This equated to roughly 6700 steps. According to the fitbit app I spent 31 minutes of my walk in fat burning mode and 34 minutes in Cardio and Peak mode.

Physically I felt pretty good considering I haven’t left the house in almost 2 weeks and haven’t done anything really for the past 2 months! I didn’t get asthma at all even though my lungs were feeling pretty tight from whatever virus I have been suffering from (most likely Covid!). I did get a bit of knee pain in my left knee and my left ankle started hurting a bit as well but for my first walk back I will take it 🙂 Especially as I am really heavy at the moment. My shoulder and wrist also felt good so that is way better than the last time I tried to walk!

After getting home as expected I felt wide awake and much more focussed that I have been. So much so that I fixed the issue I had been struggling with yesterday in about 2 hours so happy happy happy 🙂

My lungs are also feeling much clearer since the walk and my body feels way less achy as well so win win.

Walked to the hospital and back and I am now at 12,267 steps.

It didn’t go so well at the hospital and I now have my finger in a splint for another 8 weeks and then slowly stop using the splint to make sure that it is healed this time as the past 8 weeks have been a waste of time really 🙁 Still it means that I can focus on my 10000 Step challenge without trying to ride the BMX I suppose.

This evening I walked about sorting the bins out and my left knee and left ankle/foot were pretty sore so I have put some Voltorol on them so hopefully they will be better in the morning to get me through my morning walk intact. I think that I am going to do a shorter walk again in the morning and then walk again after work to get up to 10000 steps before the end of the day as I don’t think that I am up to doing a longer walk at the moment! I will wait until next week once my body is more used to the walking to get the longer walks in again! Other than the aches and pains I am feeling much better for getting my steps in today!
